Production Techniques
with Cubase 4
Course Description
This 1 day course is aimed at competent users of Cubase who want to become more familiar with some of the software’s more advanced production techniques. As such, it is not suitable for beginners or those who have not undertaken audio recording with Cubase.
Delegates attending this course will be sent a questionnaire prior to the event in order to allow us to address as many of their Cubase needs as possible!
The course will provide delegates with a series of tutorials based around the following activities:
- Cubase file management and terminology
- Creating and using Templates and Presets
- Managing content using the MediaBay
- Setting up Folder tracks
- Customising the workspace and display
- Configuring the mixer – mixer viewsets
- Using group channels to submix drums
- Setting up and using FX
- Using the Timewarp feature to create a tempo map
- Using the Audiowarp feature
- Using the Beat Calculator to work out the tempo of samples and loops
- Using the Stacked Cycle Record mode
- Compiling a perfect take
- Using the side-chain function
- Advanced audio export
- Using the Control Room mixer
- Using the Arranger Track
